Actress / Artist / Storyteller
Today is a Beautiful day to Make Art
I am a Nashville-based actress who graduated from Belmont University in May of 2018 where I received my BFA in Theatre Performance. I spent my first 15 months post-grad as a Performance Apprentice in Vero Beach, FL at Riverside Theatre. There I directed, choreographed, and taught young artists ages 5-18. I also performed in 7 productions including Evita directed by Tony-nominee Marcia Milgram Dodge.
Since being back in Nashville I have sunk my toes into many different theatre companies here in Music City such as Actors Bridge Ensemble, Pipeline-Collective, Studio Tenn, and Backlight Productions. Just like all of my fellow theatre-artists, the Covid-19 Pandemic forced me to readjust the way I tell stories. Despite CDC recommended nationwide theatre shutdowns I have molded a career for myself online using platforms such as Zoom and Google Hangout.
In December of 2020, my play White Elephant was produced by Possibilities Theatre Company in Chicago as part of their 12 Days of Holidays Online Festival.

In the Thick of It: Audition Season Edition
April 25, 2019
It's that time of year again! Theatres have announced their upcoming 2019/2020 season and all artists want in. This is my first audition season being out of college and I would be lying if I said it hasn't been a little overwhelming. I have invested in a nice tripod from the always reliable Target and become very good at using my iMovie app on my computer to create audition videos to send off to various companies. More than that though, I am so thankful to be surrounded by people who are always eager to help me tape my audition or accompany me on the piano when companies ask for singing auditions. This has the potential to be a really stressful time in an artists' career and I have been working really hard to see everything as a learning and growing opportunity rather than a rejection or defeat. This industry is not for the faint of heart and it's not a journey to venture into alone. I am thankful for the community I'm surrounded by (near and far) and the support they give me through every audition and callback.
I have also been thankful to be living in a town currently that is close to so many different cities that have audition opportunities. It's been very exciting for me to travel to new places even if it's only for a few hours. So thank you, Florida for believing in the arts and for supplying tons of audition opportunities. I will be attending the Florida Professional Theatre Association auditions in mid-May
