What's Going On?

Today is a Beautiful day to Make Art

I am a Nashville-based actress and playwright who daylights as a nanny and bartender. I am deeply thankful for the theatre community in Music City and for the opportunity to continue to safely make art in a Covid-19 world.

Currently, I am understudying in Nashville's Inebriated Shakespeare. This season we are performing Macbeth and Hamlet at multiple venues all throughout the greater Nashville area. The shows open in February and run through June. Look us up at inebriatedshakes.com if you want to imbibe while watching the Thane of Cawdor grab at a knife and Prince Hamlet talking about bees or something.

I am so beyond thrilled to be back as a cast member of Actors Bridge Ensemble's The Vagina Monologues performing at City Winery on February 9, 2022. This widely acclaimed script will be performed by a company of amazing women and all the proceeds for the production will go to Act Like a Grrrl, a program created by Vali Forrister to provide young women the opportunity to speak their minds boldly and bravely using creative mediums.

In the Thick of It: Audition Season Edition

April 25, 2019

It's that time of year again! Theatres have announced their upcoming 2019/2020 season and all artists want in. This is my first audition season being out of college and I would be lying if I said it hasn't been a little overwhelming. I have invested in a nice tripod from the always reliable Target and become very good at using my iMovie app on my computer to create audition videos to send off to various companies. More than that though, I am so thankful to be surrounded by people who are always eager to help me tape my audition or accompany me on the piano when companies ask for singing auditions. This has the potential to be a really stressful time in an artists' career and I have been working really hard to see everything as a learning and growing opportunity rather than a rejection or defeat. This industry is not for the faint of heart and it's not a journey to venture into alone. I am thankful for the community I'm surrounded by (near and far) and the support they give me through every audition and callback.

I have also been thankful to be living in a town currently that is close to so many different cities that have audition opportunities. It's been very exciting for me to travel to new places even if it's only for a few hours. So thank you, Florida for believing in the arts and for supplying tons of audition opportunities. I will be attending the Florida Professional Theatre Association auditions in mid-May
